About Me

My photo
A River's Tale
Hi, my name is Brian. I grew up in Colorado Springs and have always had an adventurous spirit. I graduated from Western State College with a degree in Biology. At birth, I had a stroke which impaired the part of the brain responsible for visual processing. This has given me tunnel vision, slow visual response, and dyslexia. Due to this, I have had to select different paths to reach the same destination as someone without these encumbrances. These limitations are something I must face every day. But, with the support of family, friends and determination there is always an option or choice. Everyone faces struggles. But, it is not your abilities - rather it is your choices that constitutes one's being. So I have chosen to make a cycling trip from the head waters of the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Mexico my mission.
